The English Department is a key part of the school's success, with a collaborative and dynamic team of professionals. They are now seeking an enthusiastic and qualified English Teacher to join this highly supportive department and teach English to Key Stage 3 (KS3) and Key Stage 4 (KS4) students.
Role and Responsibilities:
As an English Teacher at our school, you will:
- Deliver high-quality lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, ensuring students are engaged and challenged in their learning.
- Develop and implement creative and effective teaching strategies to meet the diverse needs of the students.
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing feedback and guidance to help them achieve their full potential.
- Contribute to the planning and preparation of lessons and schemes of work, ensuring that they are in line with the National Curriculum.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment where all students feel valued and motivated to learn.
- Participate in departmental meetings, professional development opportunities, and school-wide initiatives.
- Collaborate with colleagues across the school to promote a holistic approach to student development.
About You:
The ideal candidate will:
- Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and have experience teaching English at KS3 and KS4 level.
- Possess a passion for teaching and inspiring young people to achieve their best.
- Be an excellent communicator, with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well within a team.
- Have a deep understanding of the English curriculum and assessment methods at KS3 and KS4.
- Be committed to the school's values of inclusivity, support, and high standards of achievement.
- Have the ability to differentiate lessons to support the varying needs of students and manage classroom behaviour effectively.
- Demonstrate enthusiasm for continuous professional development.
