The Role:
- Teach English Language and Literature across Key Stages 3, 4, and potentially KS5
- Deliver engaging and thought-provoking lessons that foster students' reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills
- Encourage creative expression, analytical thinking, and a deep appreciation for literature
- Plan, assess, and track student progress to ensure high achievement
- Contribute to the wider school community through literary clubs, theatre visits, and extracurricular activities
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching qualification
- Experience teaching English at secondary school level
- A strong understanding of the national curriculum and exam board requirements
- Excellent classroom management skills and a commitment to student progress
- A passion for literature, language, and inspiring young minds
