A specialist SEN school in West London is seeking a dedicated and experienced English Teacher to teach Key Stage 3 and 4 students with special educational needs. This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic teacher who is passionate about making English accessible and engaging for all learners.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver differentiated English lessons for Key Stage 3 and 4 students
Adapt teaching strategies to meet the needs of students with SEND, including autism, ADHD, and speech and language difficulties
Create an inclusive and engaging classroom environment that supports literacy development
Assess student progress and provide tailored support to help them achieve their full potential
Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, SENCOs, and other professionals to support student learning
Foster positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues
Requirements:
Experience teaching English at Key Stage 3 and 4, ideally within an SEN setting
Strong behaviour management skills and a flexible, patient approach
Ability to create accessible and engaging learning experiences
A commitment to inclusion and high expectations for all students
