We are seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Geography Teacher to join our dedicated team in Haringey starting this September. Key Responsibilities:- Plan and deliver engaging and effective geography lessons in line with the national curriculum.- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and a love of learning.- Assess, monitor, and report on student progress, providing constructive feedback and support.- Develop and implement creative and differentiated teaching strategies to meet the diverse needs of all students.- Establish strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues to support student learning and development.- Participate in school activities and contribute to the wider school community.- Stay current with developments in geography education and integrate new knowledge into teaching practice.
Requirements:- Proven experience teaching geography at the secondary school level.- Strong subject knowledge and a passion for geography.- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.- Ability to create a stimulating and nurturing learning environment.- Strong organizational and time-management skills.- A valid DBS check (or willingness to undergo one).
Desirable:- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.- Experience with GCSE and A-level geography curricula.
