The Role:

We are seeking a passionate and enthusiastic Geography Teacher to join our dedicated team. The successful candidate will have a strong knowledge of the subject and be able to inspire and engage students across all key stages. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality lessons, developing innovative resources, and contributing to the wider school curriculum. This is an exciting opportunity for both experienced teachers and NQTs who are eager to make a difference in a dynamic and supportive setting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and deliver engaging and challenging Geography lessons to students in Key Stages 3, 4, and 5.
  • Assess, record, and report on the progress and attainment of students.
  • Develop and implement schemes of work in line with the national curriculum.
  • Participate in extracurricular activities, including field trips and clubs, to enhance students' understanding of Geography.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to share best practices and contribute to the overall development of the Humanities department.
  • Foster a positive classroom environment that encourages student participation and respect.
  • Support the school’s commitment to diversity, equality, and inclusion.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
  • A relevant degree in Geography or a related field.
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience teaching Geography at secondary level (Key Stages 3-5).
  • A strong commitment to raising standards and achievement for all students.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to inspire and motivate students with a passion for Geography.
  • A willingness to contribute to the broader life of the school community.
