Responsibilities of a Geography Teacher
- Plan and deliver engaging Geography lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4.
- Inspire curiosity about the world, its environments, and its people.
- Develop creative lesson plans tailored to a range of learning styles and abilities.
- Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
- Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to curriculum development.
- Ensure compliance with the school’s safeguarding and child protection policies.
Requirements for a Geography Teacher
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualifications.
- A degree in Geography or a related subject.
- Previous experience teaching Geography at the secondary level.
- Strong classroom management and organisational skills.
- A passion for Geography and the ability to engage and inspire students.
- An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one).
