Graduate Teaching Assistant - about the role
Qualiteach are looking to appoint an outstanding Graduate Teaching Assistant to work mainly with Year 7, 8 and 9 pupils also some time working with a year 10 pupils on both a 1:1 and group basis. You will be working with pupils who need addtional support with Maths, English or Maths
The role of a Graduate teaching Assistant is to provide support to all students within the class to ensure that they are on task and always learning. MUST have a degree in Maths English or Science
The ideal teaching assistant will have the following:
- Good degreeMUST
- Good GCSEs and A Levels or the equivalent
- Good behaviour management skills
- Ability to build strong relationships with staff and students
- High standards of professionalism
- Willingness to work 1:1 with pupils with additional needs

The school is a comprehensive mixed sceondary school for pupils aged 11-19. They take six forms of entry at the age of 11+. The school is a voluntary aided school, proud of it's tradition and privileged to be the oldest surviving foundation of its kind. This year they are celebrating 140 years since the school was founded. They are a secondary school for with a co-educational sixth form in Highgate, North London. Located with excellent transport facilities, the school provides a very positive and caring environment which focusses on challenging our young people to succeed, and supporting and nurturing them as they navigate their journey into adulthood.
