We are working alongside an "Outstanding" all girls secondary school who are seeking an enthusiastic Head of Physics or Subject Leader of Physics to join their school in September 2025! The school is located in South West London. This will be a full-time position on a long-term supply contract. It will intially be for 1 term with the potential to go permanent through the school. The ideal candidate must be currently teaching in the UK, have significant UK teaching experience and be able to teach Physics to A-Level!

The school is rated as "Outstanding", it's in a fantastic area and pays above the usual pay scale. Behaviour of students is excellent and there is an opportunity to have an almost entirely A-Level timetable.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and innovative lessons in science to Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 students.
  • Plan, assess, and monitor student progress to ensure high standards of learning.
  • Inspire a passion for science and foster curiosity in students.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to create an inclusive and supportive learning environment.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Degree in Science or a related subject.
  • Experience teaching secondary school science, mainly Physics.
  • Strong communication and classroom management skills.
  • Must have a right to work in the UK.
