About the Role:

Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and well-planned history lessons that inspire curiosity and a love for learning.
- Foster a classroom environment that encourages open discussions, debate, and inquiry.
- Plan and implement lessons covering a range of historical periods, events, and themes.
- Assess, monitor, and report on student progress, providing constructive feedback and support.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and enhance the history curriculum.
- Organize and participate in extracurricular activities, field trips, and enrichment opportunities related to history.
- Uphold school policies and contribute to a positive, inclusive learning environment.
About You:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and previous History Teacher experience.
- Strong subject knowledge across different historical periods and topics.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage students of all abilities.
- Experience in teaching history at Key Stage 3, 4, and/or A-Level is preferred.
- A commitment to continuous professional development and a passion for making history accessible and exciting.
- Enthusiastic about fostering a love of history and developing students' critical thinking skills.
