We are currently seeking an experienced History Teacher to join a secondary school in the borough of Waltham Forest. You will take full responsibility for teaching History and creating an engaging, dynamic, and inclusive learning environment that helps students develop a love for the subject. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate and dedicated History teacher who is committed to student progress and achievement.

Key Responsibilities for History Teacher:

• Plan, deliver, and assess high-quality History lessons aligned with the school curriculum
• Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student engagement
• Manage classroom behaviour effectively, fostering a respectful and focused atmosphere
• Monitor, track, and assess student progress, providing timely feedback and targeted support
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement cross-curricular initiatives
• Engage students in discussions, projects, and historical enquiry that develop critical thinking
• Participate in extracurricular activities and school events as required
• Uphold and promote the school's ethos and values
• Ensure the safeguarding and welfare of all students

To be considered for this role, you will:

• Hold QTS
• Have proven experience teaching History in a secondary school setting
• Possess strong knowledge of the national curriculum and exam board specifications
• Demonstrate high expectations for student learning and behaviour
• Be a collaborative team player, able to work effectively with colleagues
• Have the ability to inspire and motivate students, helping them reach their potential
• Be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
