We are seeking a dedicated and passionate History Teacher to join this Client, a high-achieving and well-respected secondary school, on a full-time, one-year maternity cover contract starting in late March 2025. This role will involve teaching Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 History, delivering engaging and inspiring lessons that foster a love for the subject.

Job Requirements:

  • Plan and deliver high-quality lessons in line with the National Curriculum.
  • Assess, track, and monitor student progress, ensuring all learners achieve their full potential.
  • Create a stimulating and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Collaborate with colleagues and contribute to the wider school community.
  • Participate in departmental and whole-school initiatives to enhance the learning experience.

Qualifications & Person Specification:

  • A recognised teaching qualification (PGCE/QTS or equivalent).
  • Experience teaching History at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
  • A commitment to delivering outstanding teaching and learning.
  • Strong subject knowledge with the ability to engage and inspire students.
  • Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
