Maths Specialist with Leadership Responsibilities

Role Overview:You will play a pivotal role in delivering outstanding Maths education, with a particular focus on Key Stage 5 (KS5). This role combines teaching excellence with leadership responsibilities, including mentoring within the Maths department and potentially overseeing whole school initiatives such as career coordination.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality Maths lessons across KS3, KS4, and KS5, with a strong emphasis on KS5.
  • Lead and mentor Maths teachers, providing guidance and support to enhance teaching practices.
  • Develop and implement innovative teaching strategies to engage and inspire students.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing timely feedback and interventions.
  • Coordinate the Maths curriculum, ensuring alignment with national standards and school goals.
  • Take on additional responsibilities such as career coordination for the whole school, contributing to the broader educational provision.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to promote a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a strong background in Maths education.
  • Proven experience teaching Maths at KS5 level.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and experience in mentoring or leading a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
