About the role- Maths Teacher - Hackney

• Stimulate pupils' curiosity, interest, and enjoyment of mathematics, as well as develop, maintain, and stimulate their interest
• Ensure that all pupil groups have equal access to Mathematics and that they are able to succeed in their studies
• In order to achieve success in the classroom, you will have to plan and prepare well-structured, well-presented lessons that are suitable for the abilities of your students and related to the curriculum
• Ensure that your classroom is structured in a way that promotes learning and maintains a stimulating environment
• As a teacher, you should inspire all students to work to their full potential and generate enthusiasm for the subject you are teaching
• Assist the Head of Faculty and Learning Support in the event of a student having special educational needs, and with the form tutors and the Heads of House if a student is experiencing pastoral difficulties or needs additional support
• Encourage positive, proactive approaches to study with students, as well as building productive relationships with them in order to uphold high standards of behaviour
