GSL Education are seeking an inspiring Modern Foreign Languages Teacher to join a vibrant coeducational secondary school in Newham, starting January 2025. As a MFL Teacher, you will inspire and engage students in language learning through creative and interactive lessons, fostering their communication skills and cultural understanding in a supportive classroom environment.

Responsibilities of the MFL Teacher:

  • Deliver engaging and effective MFL lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, fostering a love for languages and encouraging students to achieve their full potential.
  • Develop and implement innovative lesson plans that align with the national curriculum and cater to a diverse range of learning styles.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and support to help them reach their learning goals.
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere that promotes curiosity and enthusiasm for language learning.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and contribute to the continuous improvement of the department.

Requirements of the MFL Teacher:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK and a relevant degree in Modern Foreign Languages or a closely related field.
  • Experience teaching MFL at the secondary level, with a strong understanding of the UK curriculum.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with students from diverse backgrounds.
  • A passion for language education and a commitment to fostering a positive learning environment.
  • Have an updated CV and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or be willing to apply for one).
