One of our SEMH schools in Newham is seeking a part-timeMaths/English Tutor to tutor KS1 - KS5 students with Social, Emotional & Mental Health difficulties for 2 days a week.

The tuition will take place within the students’ homes and local libraries around Newham.

Part-Time: 2 days (to be confirmed; flexibility required; ideally every Mondays and Wednesdays or Tuesdays and Thursdays ) - (Term-Time only)

Location: Around London Borough of Newham (students’ home and within local libraries)

Times: TBC (during school hours)

Start Date: W/c 20th Jan 25

Clear Enhanced DBS will be required.

  • Must be happy to work in students’ homes and local libraries in Newham.
  • Must have excellent experience tutoring GCSE Maths & English.
  • Must be reliable and able to commit to the position!

Applicants must possess a minimum of 6 months experience tutoring students with Social, Emotional & Mental Health difficulties or SEND.

You will need to feel confident to lead tuition and to be able to take direction from the Advisory and the students school Senior Leadership Team.

The role will include:

    • 1:1 tutor work with students who require additional support in Maths and English.
    • Leading group work as a tutor.
    • Pupil observations, lesson planning and report writing.
    • Lesson preparation and resources.
