PE Teacher

An outstanding Ofsted rated secondary school in Ealing are currently looking for a PE Teacher.

The school are looking for someone who can start after October half term and commit until July 2025 with the possibility of continuing in the next academic year or transferring permanently.

This position is full time, working Monday to Friday from 8:30am to 4:00pm.

Salary will match inner London MPS/UPS.

The PE Teacher is expected to:

  • be able to deliver highly focused lesson design with sharp learning objectives
  • work with students to help them adopt a healthy, active lifestyle where they value the benefits of regular exercise in maintaining good physical, and mental wellbeing
  • encourage and praise students to engage and motivate them
  • emphasise learning through dialogue

Throughout their time in PE, pupils will further develop and secure the core skills gained in key stage 2, and learn new skills to be applied at key stages 3 and 4. Through exploration of The PE national curriculum, students are to learn how transferrable skills can be applied to a range of activities.

Qualifications and Person Specification:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • A relevant degree
  • Proven experience teaching PE
  • Excellent subject knowledge with the ability to inspire and motivate students
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
