Dunbar Education is recruiting a talented PRU / AP Teacher for a school in Havering, committed to supporting students who face barriers to learning within a Pupil Referral Unit or Alternative Provision setting.

About the Role:

  • Position: PRU / AP Teacher
  • Location: Havering
  • Start Date: Immediate
  • Contract Type: Full-time, long-term role with the potential for a permanent position

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and differentiated lessons to meet the needs of students with behavioural, emotional and social difficulties
  • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes student engagement and progress
  • Develop and implement individual learning plans tailored to each student's needs and goals
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to support students' academic, emotional and social development
  • Manage behaviour effectively, using a range of strategies to promote positive outcomes

What We Are Looking For:

  • Experience teaching within a PRU, AP or similar setting is highly desirable
  • A strong understanding of strategies to support students with challenging behaviour
  • Ability to build positive relationships and inspire young people to achieve their potential
  • A commitment to making a real difference in students' lives and helping them re-engage with education
