We are looking for an RE Teacher who is ready to make a positive impact on students’ lives and contribute to their understanding of religious education in a diverse and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities for the RE Teacher:

  • Develop and teach engaging lessons in line with the RE curriculum, ensuring students gain knowledge of various religions, cultures, and ethical perspectives.
  • Encourage open discussions, critical thinking, and respectful dialogue among students.
  • Evaluate students' understanding through assignments, exams, and projects; track progress and provide constructive feedback to support their learning journey.
  • Foster a classroom atmosphere that is inclusive, respectful, and supportive, where students feel safe exploring sensitive topics and diverse perspectives.
  • Work closely with other teachers, department heads, and support staff to create cohesive lesson plans, share resources, and address any challenges.
  • Differentiate instruction to accommodate the varying needs of students, including those with additional learning support requirements.
  • Guide students in understanding ethical issues and moral values, encouraging them to reflect on their own beliefs and behaviours.

Requirements for the RE Teacher:

  • Must hold QTS (Qualified Teacher Status).
  • Proven experience as an RE Teacher at the secondary level.
  • A commitment to fostering a respectful and inclusive atmosphere.
  • Strong classroom management and communication skills to succeed as an RE Teacher.
  • Commitment to creating a respectful, inclusive learning environment as an RE Teacher.
  • Ability to inspire students and promote curiosity about different worldviews.
