We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic RE Teacher to join our dynamic and supportive Humanities department. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced teacher or a motivated ECT eager to make a real impact on students' understanding of religious thought, ethics, and global cultures.
The Role:
- Teach Religious Education (RE) across Key Stages 3, 4, and potentially KS5
- Deliver engaging and thought-provoking lessons on world religions, ethical dilemmas, and philosophical questions
- Encourage critical thinking, respectful debate, and understanding of diverse beliefs and values
- Plan, assess, and track student progress to ensure high achievement and engagement
- Contribute to the wider school community through debates, trips, and extracurricular activities
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or relevant teaching qualification
- Experience teaching Religious Education at secondary school level
- A strong understanding of the national curriculum and exam board requirements
- Excellent classroom management skills and a commitment to student progress
- A passion for religion, philosophy, and inspiring students to think deeply
