Religious Education Teacher

The Role

Tradewind Recruitment are working with an outstanding school based in Ealing who are looking for a Religious Education Teacher to join their Humanities department from January 2025. The perfect candidate will be experienced in teaching RE and able to create an engaging curriculum. The school was awarded an outstanding Ofsted rating and is located in Ealing borough easily approachable by public transport with available parking.

Your responsibilities as Religious Education Teacher:

  • Plan and deliver RE lessons across Key Stages 3, 4, 5.
  • Foster a positive, supportive, and respectful learning environment.
  • Assess students' work and help them engage in the subject
  • Prepare students for exams.
  • Support students' social and cultural development.
  • Participate in departmental meetings, CPD, and whole-school initiatives.
  • Engage with other staff and parents to support their learning.
  • Participate in extracurricular activities and school events.

You:

  • Experience teaching Religious Education in secondary schools.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • A firm but positive approach and proactive attitude.
  • A commitment to safeguard and promote students' wellbeing.

We are ideally looking for a full time teacher but we will accept part time applicants if suitable for the post.

The essentials: To join us and be successful in this role you will need to:

Hold QTS status or equivalent teaching qualification

Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks

CV must cover the last 10 years of employment history where possible
