Empowering learning are working with a school based in Lewisham, South London who are seeking a dedicated and dynamic Science teacher to join them immediately. This amazing secondary school in Lewisham, London has a vibrant and supportive department which will allow you to have the opportunity to foster curiosity, critical thinking, and a love for scientific inquiry among our students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver engaging and interactive science lessons for students at various levels, including Key Stages 3, 4, and 5.
  • Create a supportive and inclusive learning environment where students feel encouraged to explore, question, and experiment.
  • Implement effective teaching strategies and methodologies to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities.
  • Utilize innovative resources, technology, and practical demonstrations to enhance the learning experience and stimulate interest in science.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop curriculum materials, assessments, and educational programs that align with national standards and promote academic excellence.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent certification in Science Education.
  • Specialization in one or more science disciplines (e.g., Biology, Chemistry, Physics) with a strong foundation in all three.
  • Proven experience teaching science at the secondary level, preferably in a UK school setting.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Passion for education, innovation, and lifelong learning.
