We are currently seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Science Teacher to join our team and inspire the next generation of scientists.

The Role:

  • Teach General Science: Deliver engaging and informative lessons across Key Stage 3, covering a broad range of scientific topics.
  • Specialize in Biology: Teach focused and in-depth Biology lessons at Key Stage 4, preparing students for their GCSE exams.
  • Inspire Curiosity: Use innovative teaching methods to spark curiosity and a love for science in your students.
  • Assess Progress: Monitor and support student progress, providing constructive feedback to help them achieve their academic goals.
  • Collaborate with Colleagues: Work closely with the Science department and other staff to develop and implement effective teaching strategies and resources.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality science lessons in line with the curriculum.
  • Assess and track student progress, maintaining accurate records.
  • Provide additional support and intervention for students who need it.
  • Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to curriculum development.
  • Engage in continuous professional development to stay current with best practices in science education.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a degree in a science-related field.
  • Proven experience teaching general science at KS3 and Biology at KS4.
  • Strong knowledge of the science curriculum and effective teaching practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate students of all abilities.
  • Commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
