About the Role:Horizon Teachers is currently working with a well-regarded secondary school in Hackney, who are seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Science Teacher with a specialism in Chemistry to join their team on a long-term basis. As the Chemistry specialist, you will be responsible for teaching Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 students, delivering high-quality lessons that inspire a love of science. You will work closely with the science department to deliver engaging lessons, track student progress, and contribute to the development of the science curriculum. Key Responsibilities:
  • Teach Chemistry to KS3 and KS4 students, creating engaging and differentiated lessons
  • Plan, deliver, and assess lessons in line with the school's curriculum
  • Monitor student progress, provide feedback, and implement strategies to support academic achievement
  • Contribute to the development of the science department and its resources
  • Maintain a safe and supportive classroom environment, fostering student engagement
The Ideal Candidate:
  • A qualified Science Teacher with a specialism in Chemistry
  • Proven experience teaching Chemistry at secondary school level (KS3 and KS4)
