Job Description:We are seeking a full-time Science teacher to cover maternity leave from 24th March 2025 to 23rd March 2026. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging science lessons to students, maintaining academic standards, and ensuring the progress and development of pupils across all science disciplines.

Responsibilities:

  • Teaching science to secondary school students across various year groups.
  • Planning and delivering science lessons, practicals, and experiments.
  • Marking and assessing student's work and providing feedback to aid their development.
  • Attending parent's evenings and communicating with parents about student progress.
  • Supporting students in preparation for assessments and exams.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Experience teaching Science at the secondary school level.
  • Strong subject knowledge in Biology, Chemistry, or Physics.
  • Ability to manage a classroom effectively and create a positive learning environment.

Additional Information:The successful candidate must be available full-time for the duration of the contract, and the role includes participation in parent's evenings and the usual school commitments.
