Are you a passionate and dedicated Science Teacher looking for an exciting new opportunity? A coeducational secondary school in Newham is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Science Teacher to join their dynamic team from January 2025.

About the role:
As a Science Teacher, you will inspire and engage students across Key Stages 3 and 4, delivering innovative and interactive science lessons that foster curiosity and a love for learning. You will be joining a supportive and forward-thinking department, committed to providing students with the best possible education in the sciences.

Responsibilities of the Science Teacher:

  • Plan and deliver engaging science lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4.
  • Teach a range of scientific disciplines, including Biology, Chemistry, and Physics.
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to enhance learning.
  • Develop and implement creative teaching strategies to inspire a love for science.
  • Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to curriculum development.
  • Support students’ individual learning needs and encourage academic success.
  • Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment.

Requirements of the Science Teacher:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Experience in teaching science at secondary level, or a desire to develop in this area (ECTs are encouraged to apply).
  • Strong subject knowledge in Biology, Chemistry, and Physics.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate students of all abilities.
  • Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and improvement.
  • Have an updated CV and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or be willing to apply for one).
