About the Role:Horizon Teachers is currently working with a well-regarded secondary school in Hackney, who are seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Science Teacher with a specialism in Chemistry to join their team on a long-term basis. As the Chemistry specialist, you will be responsible for teaching Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 students, delivering high-quality lessons that inspire a love of science. You will work closely with the science department to deliver engaging lessons, track student progress, and contribute to the development of the science curriculum. Key Responsibilities:

Teach Chemistry to KS3 and KS4 students, creating engaging and differentiated lessons
Plan, deliver, and assess lessons in line with the school's curriculum
Monitor student progress, provide feedback, and implement strategies to support academic achievement
Contribute to the development of the science department and its resources
Maintain a safe and supportive classroom environment, fostering student engagement

The Ideal Candidate:

A qualified Science Teacher with a specialism in Chemistry
Proven experience teaching Chemistry at secondary school level (KS3 and KS4)
Strong subject knowledge and a passion for Chemistry
Excellent communication and classroom management skills
Ability to create a positive learning environment and inspire students
Strong team player with a commitment to the school's ethos and values
