Responsibilities of a Science Teacher:

  • Plan and deliver engaging and innovative science lessons to Key Stage 3, Key Stage 4, and Sixth Form students.
  • Create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Assess and track student progress, providing constructive feedback.
  • Support students in achieving their academic goals and aspirations.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop schemes of work and share best practices.
  • Uphold high standards of behaviour and academic performance.

Requirements for the Science Teacher Role:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • A degree in science or a related subject.
  • Strong classroom management skills.
  • Passion for teaching and inspiring students.
  • Experience teaching science at secondary level is desirable.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
