We are seeking a dedicated General Science Teacher to join this Client, a highly regarded secondary academy in Waltham Forest, for a full-time maternity cover role starting in March 2025. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established department in a school that prides itself on delivering high-quality education and fostering a supportive learning environment.

As a Teacher of General Science, you will:?? Teach Science across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the potential to teach Key Stage 5 depending on experience.?? Plan, deliver, and assess engaging Science lessons that cater to a range of learning abilities.?? Work collaboratively with a supportive Science department to develop curriculum and resources.?? Inspire and motivate students to achieve their full potential in Science.?? Contribute to extracurricular Science activities, such as clubs, competitions, or school trips.

Person Specification & Requirements:

To be considered for this role, you must:

Hold QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent teaching qualifications.

Have a strong academic background in Science and experience teaching the subject at secondary level.

Be an enthusiastic and innovative teacher who can engage students and foster a passion for Science.

Have excellent classroom management skills and the ability to create an inclusive learning environment.

Be available to start in March 2025 for a 1-year maternity cover contract.
