Science Technician | Secondary School | South East London | Immediate Start

Great opportunity for a School Science Technician for a full time post starting as soon as possible this term at a secondary school in South East London.

Ideally we are looking for a degree qualified technician, as the job role will involve helping A levels students out. Most importantly, applicants should have a passion for science and some school experience.

Responsibilities within the role will include:

  • Preparing apparatus, materials and solutions and equipment and apparatus for use in practical classes.
  • Setting up and assisting with demonstrations
  • Retrieving and clearing away apparatus
  • Assisting in practical classes
  • Maintaining stock levels
  • Maintaining safe working environment

Within the Science department, you will be assisting teachers in preparing practical lessons and providing technical support where required. We are therefore looking for a technician who is a good team player and communicates well with staff.

Previous experience as a Science Technician is essential to the role, ideally within a school but also within another environment
