Milk Education is working in partnership with a secondary school in Southwark to recruit a skilled and enthusiastic Science Technician. This is a fantastic opportunity to support a dynamic science department in creating an engaging and safe laboratory environment where students can thrive.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and set up equipment and materials for practical science lessons, ensuring all resources are ready and available for teachers.
- Maintain laboratory equipment and keep detailed records of stock, supplies, and materials.
- Adhere to all health and safety guidelines to create a safe learning environment for students and staff.
- Assist teachers and students during practical experiments, providing support and guidance as needed.
- Support the science department in the smooth running of lessons, including the organization and tidying of lab spaces.
About You:
- A keen interest in science and experience in a laboratory or educational setting.
- Knowledge of health and safety standards, especially in a school science environment.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Prior experience as a Science Technician, or relevant qualifications, would be advantageous.
