Day-to-day of the role:

• Plan and deliver engaging Social Sciences lessons to secondary or post-16 students, fostering a deep understanding of various social science disciplines.
• Assess student progress, provide constructive feedback, and tailor teaching strategies to meet individual learning objectives.
• Create a classroom environment that accommodates diverse learning styles and encourages student participation and critical analysis.
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop and share innovative teaching practices and contribute to the school’s extracurricular programmes, including social sciences clubs and research projects.
• Engage in continuous professional development to maintain the highest educational standards and practices in social sciences education.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent is essential.
• Experience in teaching Social Sciences is preferred, but newly qualified teachers (NQTs) are also encouraged to apply.
• Demonstrated ability to inspire and engage students through effective teaching methods in social sciences.
• Strong classroom management skills and the ability to create a supportive and dynamic learning environment.
