About the Role:
GSL Education invites applications for a Teacher of Computing role in an outstanding secondary school located in Barking and Dagenham. This co-educational school offers an exceptional environment for both teaching and learning, having recently been rated Outstanding by Ofsted in all areas. With a commitment to delivering a broad and balanced curriculum, the school is also an International Baccalaureate World School, offering the prestigious Middle Years Programme at Key Stage 3 and a growing Post-16 provision.

The role is ideal for both experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers (ECTs) who have a passion for delivering high-quality Computing lessons that inspire and challenge students. Experience teaching the IB Diploma or other KS5 Computing courses is desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging Computing lessons to a high standard across Key Stages.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to contribute to an innovative and research-informed curriculum.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment where all students can excel.
  • Monitor and support student progress, providing tailored interventions where necessary.
  • Maintain a commitment to safeguarding and promoting student wellbeing.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Holds relevant teaching qualifications with strong subject knowledge in computing.
  • Has experience teaching across Key Stages, with KS5 experience being advantageous.
