Tradewind Recruitment are delighted to announce an exciting opportunity to join a leading Community-based Secondary School in Waltham Forest as a Science Teacher in September.

The school was founded in the early 20th Century, however in recent years have experienced significant redevelopments in the previous 10 years and now boast state of the art facilities, and classrooms that inspire learning. The Science department is an incredibly important faculty within the school, as there is a strong emphasis on creating inquisitive and explorative learning opportunities for the students. The department is well-resourced and has modern equipment that supports academic development within the subject. With 12 welcoming teachers and 2 Science Technicians, an ambitious curriculum has been developed that motivates all students.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and inspiring Science lessons across Key Stage 3 - 4
  • General Science Teacher
  • Parents Evening attendance
  • Support with the planning and organising of school trips.
  • Edexcel Syllabus
  • Embrace the role of a form tutor, supporting students' personal growth and developments.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a proven track record of excellent teaching.
  • Enhanced DBS certificate to ensure a safe learning environment.
  • Open to Early Career Teachers (ECTs), offering a supportive and growth-oriented environment.
  • A strong drive and determination to progress students' artistic skills and overall learning.
