Are you an experienced HLTA looking for a new, exciting experience in a lovely primary school?

We are currently working alongside a primary school based in Greenwich and we are seeking a motivated, diligent primary HLTA to assist in a primary school setting and collaborate closely with children who have special education needs across Key Stage 2. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in supporting the educational and developmental needs of students from years 3 through to 6.

Duties will include:

  • Help maintain a well-organised learning environment for children in primary education.
  • When a class teacher is not present, take charge of the classroom, making adjustments and presenting interesting lessons.
  • Encouraging student interaction socially to develop positive interactions with peers.
  • Play as a role model to ensure positive behaviour.
  • Providing support in small groups and on a 1:1 basis.

The perfect candidate will:

  • Relevant Teaching Qualifications (Level 3, Level 4, TA, HLTA etc)
  • HLTA experience or strong experience as a SEN TA looking to further develop your skills.
  • Have a positive and empathic personality to ongoing relationship development with students, parents and carers.
  • Excellent communicator and a great team-player
