Higher Level Teaching Assistant

We are looking for a skilled and enthusiastic Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our school in Tower Hamlets. This role is perfect for someone ready to take on additional responsibilities in the classroom, supporting both teaching and learning across year groups. You'll be integral in helping students succeed academically and socially, while providing support to the teaching staff.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead small group sessions and interventions to reinforce learning concepts and close attainment gaps.
  • Deliver lessons in the teacher's absence, ensuring continuity of learning and classroom management.
  • Support teachers with lesson planning, resource preparation, and classroom organization.
  • Work closely with students to build confidence, engagement, and a positive approach to learning.
  • Collaborate with the SEN team to support students with additional needs, fostering an inclusive environment.

Requirements:

  • HLTA qualification or extensive experience in a similar role.
  • Strong classroom management skills and the ability to lead small group and whole-class sessions effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A proactive, adaptable approach to supporting both teachers and students.
