We are seeking a dedicated High-Level Teaching Assistant for a fantastic school in Erith, Bexley. This is an excellent opportunity to join a supportive environment where you can use your skills to help students reach their full potential.

What You'll Do:

As an HLTA, you'll play a vital role in supporting the school's teaching and learning. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading small group interventions to support academic progress, including for pupils with SEN.
  • Providing one-to-one support for students with additional needs, including Autism and ADHD.
  • Covering classes during teacher absences and delivering pre-planned lessons across all age groups.
  • Assisting teachers with lesson planning, preparation, and resource management.
  • Monitoring pupil progress and maintaining detailed records.
  • Supporting behaviour management strategies and promoting a positive learning environment.
  • Liaising with parents, carers, and external professionals to ensure all-round support for pupils.
  • Delivering tailored SEN interventions to support social, emotional, and academic development.
What We're Looking For:
  • Previous experience as an HLTA is essential.
  • Strong understanding of the National Curriculum and how to support SEN learners effectively.
  • Confidence in leading whole-class sessions and small groups.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • A passion for education and a commitment to pupil development.
