Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant looking to take the next step in your teaching career or a qualified Higher Level Teaching Assistant looking for a new opportunity?

Long Term Futures are working alongside a two-form entry primary school in Lewisham, looking for a dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant to support their KS2 team in lesson delivery and general classroom support.

Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the school's KS2 team to deliver and plan lessons across the Years 4, 5 and 6.
  • Ensure lessons are inclusive and tailored to individual needs.
  • Plan and deliver interventions for students accessing additional SEND support.
  • Support class teachers with lesson delivery, maintain good behaviour in classrooms, and monitor and track individual student progress.
  • Provide 1:1 support to children with special educational needs, including those with ASD.

Candidate Criteria:

  • Relevant HLTA Qualifications (Level 4) is essential. Experienced Teaching Assistants with Level 3 qualifications are encouraged to apply.
  • Experience working in a primary school setting or previous HLTA experience is desirable.
  • Great understanding of diverse Special Educational Needs (ASD, ADHD, SEMH)
  • Ability to work as a part of a team and independently.
