About the RoleWe are looking for a skilled and enthusiastic Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our school community in Islington. This role is ideal for an HLTA who is passionate about making a difference, leading small group and whole-class activities, and working closely with teachers to support students in their learning journey.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead small group or whole-class teaching sessions, adapting lesson plans to meet the diverse needs of students.
  • Provide additional support to students with varying abilities, including those with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
  • Assist in planning and delivering engaging lessons alongside the class teacher.
  • Track and assess student progress, providing feedback to teachers and adjusting support as needed.
  • Help manage classroom behavior and support a positive learning environment.
  • Mentor and support Teaching Assistants, fostering collaboration within the classroom team.

About YouWe are looking for a proactive and organized HLTA with a genuine interest in education and student development. You should have experience leading classroom activities, a strong understanding of the national curriculum, and the ability to inspire students.

Requirements:

  • HLTA qualification or equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience in supporting teaching and leading classroom activities.
  • Strong communication skills and a flexible approach to working with students of all abilities.
  • Experience with SEN and behavior management is a plus.
