We are looking for enthusiastic and skilled Higher Level Teaching Assistants (HLTAs) to join a lovely school in Kensington and Chelsea. In this role, you will primarily work with KS1 or KS2 students, providing learning support and covering lessons during teachers' PPA (Planning, Preparation, and Assessment) time. You will be responsible for delivering pre-prepared lessons, assisting teachers in raising standards across the curriculum, and ensuring students receive high-quality learning experiences.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver lessons to KS1 and KS2 pupils during teacher PPA cover, following pre-set lesson plans and schemes of work.
  • Support the class teacher in managing the classroom, ensuring a positive and safe learning environment.
  • Provide individual and small group support to pupils, including those with SEND or EAL needs.
  • Assist with planning, preparing, and delivering learning activities to support children's academic progress.
  • Monitor pupil progress, providing feedback to teachers and supporting assessments.
  • Work collaboratively with teaching staff to contribute to whole-class and targeted interventions.
  • Support behaviour management strategies in line with school policies.
  • Engage with parents and carers, providing updates on pupil progress where necessary.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
  • HLTA status or equivalent qualification.
  • Experience working in KS1/KS2, with a strong understanding of the national curriculum.
  • Experience delivering lessons and managing a classroom effectively.
  • A passion for supporting children’s learning and development.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong behaviour management skills.
  • A commitment to promoting inclusion and equal opportunities for all students.
  • Flexibility, creativity, and the ability to work well as part of a team.
