Level 2 Teaching Assistant - Hillingdon

We are seeking a compassionate, skilled, and dedicated Level 2 Teaching Assistant to join our supportive and dynamic SEN school team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting students with diverse educational needs, helping them to learn, develop, and achieve their full potential.

Job Description:

  • Provide direct support to students with special educational needs, working closely with class teachers and other educational professionals
  • Assist in implementing Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and supporting personalized learning strategies
  • Help create a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment
  • Support students with personal care needs, mobility, and daily living skills
  • Participate in lesson preparation and classroom management
  • Provide one-to-one and small group support to students
  • Contribute to the development of teaching resources and learning materials
  • Maintain accurate and confidential student records
  • Support students' social and emotional well-being

Essential Requirements:

  • Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent
  • Experience working with children with special educational needs
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Patience, empathy, and a positive, nurturing approach
  • Ability to remain calm and professional in challenging situations
  • Good physical fitness and stamina
  • Enhanced DBS check (we will support the application process)
  • Additional SEN-specific training or qualifications
