An OSTED Good secondary school are looking for a Science Teaching Assistant for an immediate start. The school is supportive and friendly, and as a Science Teaching Assistant you will be based within an excellent Science department. The school provide CPD for every Science Teaching Assistant, and will support you from day one. As a Science Teaching Assistant, you will work with children of a range of ages and abiliities within the Science department. This is a great opportunity for a Science Graduate looking to gain some experience in an academic setting. Experience working with children is always appreciated (for example as a tutor), but the most important thing is a desire to support young people.

Key Responsibilities:
- Providing one-to-one or small group support to students aged 11-16, both in and out of the classroom.
- Implementing tailored learning strategies and interventions as directed by the SENCO (Special Educational Needs Coordinator).
- Collaborating with teachers and other support staff to ensure the individual needs of students are met effectively.
- Assisting with the planning and delivery of differentiated activities to support student progress.
- Promoting a positive and inclusive learning environment where all students feel valued and supported.
Requirements:
- A Science based degree (minimum lower second)
- Experience with children of young people in some capacity
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students, staff, and parents/carers.
- Patient, empathetic, and adaptable approach to supporting the diverse needs of students.
