The Role

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Secondary Teaching Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will collaborate with students, teachers, and support staff to provide in-class support and contribute to a positive learning environment that fosters student success.

This role is particularly well-suited to graduates and individuals aspiring to pursue a career in teaching.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide in-class support to students with SEMH and SEN, helping them access the curriculum and achieve their learning objectives.
  • Work with teachers to adapt lesson materials and resources for individual or small-group needs.
  • Support students in developing self-regulation, social skills, and confidence.
  • Assist with classroom management and behavior strategies.
  • Collaborate with the SENCO, teaching staff, and external professionals to implement strategies and Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
  • Foster a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment for all students.

Requirements

  • Previous experience working with secondary school-aged students is essential.
