SEMH Teaching Assistant Responsibilities:
As an SEMH Teaching Assistant in this outstanding school in Tower Hamlets, you will:
- Provide one-on-one and small group support to students with SEMH needs, both inside and outside the classroom.
- Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Plans and Behavior Support Plans to address specific student needs.
- Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment where all students feel valued and respected.
- Collaborate effectively with teachers, therapists, and other professionals to ensure a coordinated approach to student support.
- Monitor student progress and behavior, providing feedback to the teaching team as needed.

SEMH Teaching Assistant Requirements:
- Must be experienced with SEMH.
- Seeking someone who is proactive, resilient, can uphold high standards of the school, and get the best out of the pupils.
- The successful candidate will be able to put the needs of the children at the forefront of what they do, taking into consideration individual special educational needs.
- Strong understanding of SEMH, safeguarding, and child protection practices.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and independently when required.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
