Job Title: Year 6 Class Teacher (SEN Specialist)Location: Hillingdon, LondonSalary: Competitive, based on experienceKey Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons to Year 6 students, ensuring all pupils, including those with SEN, achieve their full potential.
  • Develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) for students with SEN, in collaboration with the SENCO and other professionals.
  • Monitor and assess pupils' progress, providing regular feedback to students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters a love of learning and promotes the well-being of all students.
  • Work closely with teaching assistants and support staff to provide targeted interventions and support for students with SEN.
  • Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and relevant teaching qualifications.
  • Proven experience teaching Year 6 students, with a strong understanding of the Key Stage 2 curriculum.
  • Experience working with children with SEN and a good understanding of SEN strategies and interventions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
