Fire Alarm Engineer

Location: London

Salary: £42,500 per annum (Saturdays is 1.5 x hourly rate)

Hours: Mon - Fri, 8.30am to 4.30pm (Maybe an odd Saturday if needed)

The Role

The organisation are seeking a highly organised and professional Fire Alarm Engineer to join their client’s team.

As the first point of contact for the company, you will play a crucial role in their clients engineering industry. The client is a family-owned construction and property maintenance business proudly serving the heart of Central London for over 17 years.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, Knowing the key essentials of maintaining a fire alarm system and being able to install a fire alarm system in the most professional manner.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure effective running of the assigned jobs
  • Take care of assigned tools and equipment
  • Ensuring Compliance with Health and Safety regulations/risk assessments
  • Liaise with customers and tenants to ensure expectations are managed and meet.
  • Sufficient labour and time are allocated
  • Resourcing sufficient equipment and materials in conjunction with the Supervising Technician and Maintenance Manager
  • Systematic and logical sequence of works
  • Fill out job sheets with callout description and time taken
  • Fill out necessary log sheets and keep logbooks on site up to date
  • Reactive call outs in hours and out of hours
  • Raise job sheets for additional time on site

Skills and Qualifications

  • Driving license (Essential)
  • Own Tools 
  • Minimum of 1 year Fire alarm systems experience
  • Minimum 1 year Installation experience
  • Great communication skills
  • Able to fix and solve possible problems

Location

The area is mainly within M25, but the client has a few buildings outside London as well, when the outside of London buildings need to be looked at you will be booked in.
