I am currently representing a company seeking a Fire Protection Engineer to join their Service Team. This role involves installation, servicing, and maintenance of fire extinguishers and wireless temporary alarm systems across various construction sites and commercial premises.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct engineering activities including maintenance, installation, and testing across customer service contracts
  • Install extinguishers and temporary wireless alarm systems
  • Test wireless alarm systems
  • Maintain fire extinguishers and wireless alarm systems
  • Complete site surveys
  • Cross-train on access systems installation (turnstiles)
  • Represent the company to a high standard
  • Submit all paperwork and documentation within agreed timescales
  • Maintain up-to-date mandatory training, accreditations, and admin
  • Manage accurate van stock levels of equipment and tooling
  • Adhere to all company and industry Quality & Health and Safety standards
  • Achieve maximum efficiency in line with business targets
  • Travel UK-wide as required for this field-based role

Desired Competencies:

  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience in fire protection systems with relevant safety qualifications
  • Flexible attitude to support changing business objectives in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, Word)
  • BS 5306 (Extinguishers) (Desirable)
  • BS 5389 (Fixed Systems) (Desirable)
  • Asbestos awareness, Manual Handling, IOSH, CSCS (Desirable)
  • DBS may be required for some sites
