Job Title: Fire & Security Design Estimating Manager

Location: Office-based with regular site visits (Surrey and London area)
Salary: Up to £50,000 per annum + vehicle
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:30 am – 16:30 pm (flexible working available)

Are you an experienced Fire & Security Design Estimator with a strong electrical background and a passion for delivering high-quality projects? We are seeking a skilled Design Estimating Manager to join our growing team and play a critical role in ensuring our projects are designed to perfection and cost-effective from start to finish.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design & Estimating: Create detailed and accurate designs and cost estimates for fire and security systems, ensuring all projects are within budget and meet customer specifications.
  • Project Involvement: Manage the project lifecycle from the pre-design phase through to completion, including on-site visits to oversee installations.
  • Pre-Design Assessments: Ensure all commercial jobs are carefully assessed and planned for maximum cost efficiency and operational effectiveness.
  • Client Interaction: Work with high-end customers, including established restaurants, private membership clubs, and luxury homes, delivering tailored solutions that meet their security and fire safety needs.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with a team of 20 engineers and 8 office staff, ensuring smooth communication and coordination between design, estimating, and project execution.
  • Meetings & Site Visits: Attend design co-ordinator meetings and regularly visit sites to collaborate with the engineering team and ensure alignment on project goals.

Requirements:

  • Strong electrical background, with proven experience in design and estimating within the fire and security sector.
  • Demonstrable experience working on high-end, bespoke projects.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills to effectively manage projects and liaise with customers, engineers, and office staff.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects at once while maintaining attention to detail and cost-effectiveness.
