Our client in London is a NHS Trust with a large, diverse estate. They are seeking a permanent Fire Safety Manager, a key role as leader and influencer across the Trust’s estate. This crucial role will ensure compliance with legal and statutory requirements and that all fire safety regulations under current codes of practise are addressed across a complex and multi-site estate.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Be the Trust’s lead expert for fire safety providing expert professional advice to the Trust’s board and senior management on all currently fire safety legislation and RRO.
- To lead, provide expert specialist and professional fire information service for all capital projects, provide advice to Trust staff and key stakeholders, including directors and senior management.
- You will develop and lead on policies, strategies and for implementation of the Trust’s fire compliance annual mandatory programme. You will continually improve reporting systems in order to maintain a safe environment for all patients and staff.
- You will be responsible for the effectiveness of a comprehensive fire safety training programme, for all types of staff at all levels.
The successful candidate will possess proven experience in fire safety management, preferably within a healthcare setting. You will have an in-depth knowledge of fire safety regulations and compliance requirements. You will be an excellent communicator with interpersonal skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Relevant certifications in fire safety management are a necessity (e.g. NEBOSH Fire Safety and Risk Management, Fire Risk Assessment).
This is a permanent opportunity, offering an annual salary of £70,387 - £80,465 depending on experience.
