SECURITY GUARD - SCHOOLS/COLLEGES

Accolade Security is committed to providing a safe and secure learning environment for all students, staff, and visitors. We are seeking a dedicated and professional Security Guard to join our team and help maintain a safe campus environment.

Position Overview:
As a Security Guard, you will be responsible for safeguarding the campus, protecting property, and ensuring the safety of students, faculty, staff, and visitors. You will work closely with the campus community to foster a safe, secure atmosphere and respond to emergencies as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor and patrol campus buildings and grounds to ensure the safety and security of all areas.
• Enforce campus rules and regulations in a professional and courteous manner.
• Respond promptly and effectively to emergencies, including medical, fire, and security situations.
• Provide assistance and information to students, faculty, and visitors as needed.
• Maintain logs of incidents, activities, and reports of security concerns.
• Assist in crowd control during special events, activities, and gatherings.
• Monitor and operate security systems, including alarms, surveillance cameras, and access control systems.
• Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency services as necessary.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional security training or certification is a plus.
• Previous security experience, preferably in a campus or institutional setting.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to remain calm and composed in stressful situations.
• Good physical condition and ability to walk or stand for extended periods.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, weekends, and holidays.
• Valid security guard license (where applicable) and clean criminal background check.
• 5 year employement history check and right to work in the UK.
