Our client is seeking a Field Service Engineer who can be based in either Italy, France or England. You will be working for a top contract manufacturer & AM service bureau across North America & Europe. You will work closely with the production and engineering teams to ensure optimal machine performance, quality output, and timely project delivery. This will be an internal servicing position that will require travel to the business's 3 facilities in Europe.

As a field service engineer your duties will include:

  • You will be expected to oversee the operations, servicing, troubleshooting and maintenance of the machines.
  • Preparing, monitoring and post-processing printed parts ensuring that they adhere to the quality standards.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to optimise print processes and improve output quality.
  • Conducting quality inspections and implementing correct actions.
  • Setting up and calibrating of printers for new projects.
  • Overlooking the responsibility of continuous improvement projects to ensure machines run smoothly when not travelling. 
  • Ability to analyse and problem-solve complex challenges.
  • Additional responsibility may include maintaining complete documentation of maintenance activities and documenting print jobs/inventory.
  • Offering training and support to other team members on the process.

Requirements

  • Expertise with AM industrial technologies such as SLA/SLS or other related technologies. 
  • Understanding of maintenance on these machines from a mechanical and electrical aspect.
  • Previous professional experiences in a comparable position.
  • Proficient in modern technology, good computer skills especially understanding of MS Office.
  • A high degree of quality awareness, independence, and initiative.
  • Willingness to travel as part of your role is a must for the three facilities.
  • Familiarity with CAD software and 3D modelling is a plus.
  • Must be based in England, Italy or France.
